Mixing :: Slang Chickens

Our friends Slang Chickens are back in the studio with Pete today mixing material for their forthcoming release. This album follows Slang Chickens’ debut LP, which Pete Lyman also worked on. Hopefully you were lucky enough to snag a copy – packaged in a rad burlap sack sleeve, on blue vinyl! Check out their MySpace page for tour dates and MP3’s.

Tee Pee Records’ Night Horse are in the studio this week with producer and engineer Matt Bayles (credits include Pearl Jam, Mastadon, Screaming Trees, Murder City Devils and more). Not many details to report on the album’s release from where we sit, but check in with Tee Pee for more info!

Jail Weddings In the Studio

Rolling ten members deep, Los Angeles’ Jail Weddings just finished tracking with Jeff at Infrasonic and will start mixing within the next few days for their forthcoming full-length, “Love Is Lawless.”

Local Natives Session on Pitchfork

Live Recording tonight at The Smell

Pete and Jeff are getting ready for a live multi-track recording at The Smell tonight with Upsilon Acrux. It’s only $3 bucks, free with costume and quite possibly the last time you’ll see this band live for a while – you have no excuse not to go!
